Passenger Ferry Services
All the commercial vessel options for getting to Stehekin by boat.
SVR Transportation Pages:
There are 2 companies providing Passenger Service on Lake Chelan:
The first one you should look at is the Stehekin Ferry:
While this is a relatively new option – they started operations in 2020 – it has become quite popular and works great for our guests. Owned by the Courtney family, this company focuses on providing a comfortable trip with a schedule aimed to please folks planning to stay overnight in Stehekin.

If the Stehekin Ferry is booked up, the next option to look at is the Lady Express, operated by the Lake Chelan Boat Co.:
Lake Chelan Boat Company: This is the long standing passenger service on Lake Chelan. This company focuses more on providing great daytrip options to see a bit of Stehekin before returning to Chelan for the night. They have a fleet of boats serving this purpose, but their Lady Express boat schedule works ok for overnight guests as well.

Important!
The Ranch is located 9 miles up-valley from where the boats will dock in Stehekin. We provide bus transportation from the dock to the Ranch, but we run on a schedule, not on demand. The bus coordinates with the Stehekin Ferry. The next best boat option for bus coordination is the Lady Express. We do NOT recommend arriving or departing on other boats because they arrive/depart between bus runs, making it difficult to make your connections or causing you to have a long wait at the dock.
The Ranch recommends the Sunny Jo (Stehekin Ferry) for our guests. If that is full, look at the Lady Express (Lake Chelan Boat Co.).

Other Boats:
The Stehekin Ferry has an additional boat (the Sunny Jo) which can replace the Clipper if needed, and is also available for charters:
The Lake Chelan Boat Company operates 2 additional passenger boats, primarily for daytrip options:
We Do NOT recommend using these boats if you plan to stay at the Ranch. Neither has a consistent daily schedule, and they do not coordinate well with our bus schedule. You will have a bit of a wait both coming and going if you choose to ride on one of these boats. For more information regarding the schedule for these boats, please contact the LCBC directly.
