Passenger Ferry Services
All the commercial vessel options for getting to Stehekin by boat.
SVR Transportation Pages:
First thing to know – there are TWO companies that provide passenger ferry service on Lake Chelan. Make sure you know which one you are booking!
The Stehekin Ferry: This is a relatively new option – they started operations in 2020. Owned and operated by Colter and Logan Courtney, this company focuses on providing a comfortable trip with a schedule aimed to please folks planning to stay overnight in Stehekin.
Discover Lake Chelan, dba Lake Chelan Boat Company: This is the long standing passenger service on Lake Chelan. Recently bought by Reed Courtney and Brun Garfoot, this company focuses more on providing great daytrip options for those that just want a taste of Stehekin, before returning to Chelan for the night. They do have options that work for overnight Stehekin guests as well.
Second thing to know – the Ranch is located 9 miles upvalley from where the boats will dock in Stehekin. We provide bus transportation from the dock to the Ranch, but we run on a schedule, not on demand. With so many arrival/departure options, we can’t meet them all perfectly. The bus coordinates best with the Stehekin Ferry. Next best for bus coordination is the Lady Express. Other boats arrive/depart between bus runs, therefore you will have a bit of a wait if you do not choose to ride the Stehekin Ferry or Lady Express.
The Ranch recommends either the Sunny Jo (Stehekin Ferry) or the Lady Express (Lake Chelan Boat Co.) for our guests.

The Lady Express
The Lake Chelan Boat Company operates 2 additional passenger boats:
The Lady of the Lake (previously the Lady II)
The Lady Liberty (previously the Lady Cat)
Due to the random nature of their schedules, we do not meet either of these boats with our scheduled bus. You will most likely have a bit of a wait both coming and going if you choose to ride on one of these boats. For more information regarding the schedule for these boats, please contact the LCBC directly.
