New for the 2026 season, Rustic Retreat Bible Camp — operating as Camp Stehekin this year — occupies a special place in the valley that Mike Sherer and his family have built with love, sweat, and vision over more than 30 years. What began as a dream for a rustic retreat and gathering space has now become a welcoming basecamp for adventurers, families, and groups looking to experience the magic of Stehekin.
We’re deeply grateful to Mike for leasing this cherished property to Stehekin Valley Ranch—it’s a true act of generosity that helps keep lodging options alive in the valley this year while the North Cascades Lodge remains closed for the 2026 season.
